Branding
I designed a logo for a Mayan Belizean restaurant rooted in the philosophy “I am you and you are me.” Inspired by the owner’s memory of her grandmother passing her a plate, I explored the intimacy of sharing food with family. Using charcoal, I hand-drew an abstract symbol of “passing a plate,” embracing imperfection and rawness. The hand-drawn type, influenced by Baskerville and Picasso’s line drawings, balances elegance with human warmth.
