Overgrown Roots is an intimate short film capturing the quiet, vulnerable days Black women spend hidden away during a hair takedown, a private metamorphosis. Through tender imagery and poetic narration, it explores the fragility, hope, and longing for beauty and acceptance that push us through the shedding, the waiting, and the return to the world renewed.
