"鄭" is a personal photo series named after my father’s family name, bridging my Chinese and Korean heritage. Created with my sister, Dorothy Cheng, in a New York studio on 120mm film, the work reimagines cultural artifacts as high-fashion elements: a Jianzi as headpiece, salted fish as centerpiece, and peonies as symbols of beauty. With Asian collaborators, a Hong Kong backdrop by my father, and my sister as model, the series becomes both reconstruction of home and love letter to family.
