“Where It Grows” is about Gabriel DeRossi. An intense life in Michelin kitchens, serving those who have perhaps mastered modern life the most, brought him back to nature. With a world-building courage, he has managed to take his culinary prowesses along with his foraging skills and combine them with trail running in a truly singular manner. As much as this is a film about him and this beautiful symbiosis, it is also about how we can reclaim our time in an overwhelming world.
