Arsenic & Old Lace

I found it amusing that these two dear old ladies are unassuming murderesses and so I wanted to play with this juxtaposition while both exaggerating and highlighting their eccentricities. I designed an octagonal pink palace Victorian home and leaned on delicate textures and patterns of lace and velvets, combined with heavy antique wood furniture with elongated and exaggerated shapes. I wanted the home to feel as unassuming, inviting, yet as eccentric as the blue haired women that inhabit it.
