Through the research we discovered a cross-cultural need for sharing, for sharing time, stories, and moments. Drinking and eating are an accessory to those moments, a lubricant for memories and exchanges. We felt this sharing was symbolized by pouring drinks, opening the discussion and space for the moments to come. We explored the lengthening and defining transitions of meals.
