Butterflies are exes, self-portraits, letterpress, poetry, dinners, textiles, and found objects. For the past year, I have set a goal to create a butterfly every time I begin a studio session. This is a ritual that slowly builds an ongoing project while loosening up to be creative for the day. This work is evolving and flexible in terms of installation; it can exist in many contexts and be site specific to a given space. I'd love to create a set design based on these or an outfit for someone
