25 sec teaser. MAW is a meditation on the unhoused crisis in Los Angeles through a lens of yearning to heal. Tommy Taretta’s spoken word poetry grapples with madness, despair, and finding humanity in the underside of the city. The title MAW depicts figurative jaws that devour without restraint, such as the "maw of greed" for excessive and insatiable greed or the "maw of brokenness" for the destructive nature of a society that spreads trauma.
