📸 on📱 👗: Commonwealth by R. Soria 🧥: Head of State by T. Abijako The garments are from two emerging designers based in NYC. Given the designers’ immigrant statuses, I focused on the synergy between their distinct approaches to evening wear—based on their home countries: Nigeria (Abijako) and Philippines (Soria), respectively. The interplay of lines, porosity, and texture taunt the viewer with each layer revealing a new look precariously held together by a silk choker and a 13-feet lace bow.
