Editorial – Layout for 'Les Fleurs' by Christian Gailly
Spreads from a layout based on Les fleurs (Christian Gailly, 1993) for my diploma on the phenomenology of space. I reshaped the text to reveal “images within the words,” echoing calligrams, to evoke places like the café-tabac, counter, courtyard, train platform, metro line 6, and mental spaces. The book’s second half reads like a map, where text forms silhouettes that privilege visual over linguistic meaning.
