“Soorisan” A short story written by my cousin Ranha Baek adapted into a film will be coming out this Sunday on YouTube. “Soorisan” is her story as a child of a 기러기 아빠 or Goose Dad. A man who stays in Korea to work while the wife and children go to Western Speaking nations such as the United States, Canada, UK, and even Mexico. It’s a story through the lens of a child experiencing loneliness, longing for her father, and in unfamiliar lands.
