Tor is based on the book Tor. Thirteen Houses and Three Deaths by Carles Porta, published in 2005. This publication has its origins in a documentary that the journalist from Lleida produced eight years earlier for TV3’s program 30 minuts, entitled Tor, the Cursed Mountain. The book recounts the conflict between families in the village of Tor, in the municipality of Alins, on the border with Andorra.
