The Setup

A regulation-size soccer goal was set up in the backyard, turf and all. Guests lined up to take a penalty kick, with pro footballer Riqui Puig on hand taking shots right alongside them. Every time someone scored, their name went into the running for one of two VIP World Cup tickets. People were out there in dress shirts and bare feet, taking real shots, for a real prize, in front of everyone. A referee kept things official, and at the end of the night, Riqui announced the winners to the crowd.

Beyond the Pitch

Kenny Beats, Puffie, and Quinn took turns behind the decks, keeping the energy high from early evening straight through to close. Burger She Wrote kept everyone fed, and the bar was stocked with Lalo tequila, Fallen Grape wine, and Peroni, so there was always something in hand between rounds at the goal.

Final Play wasn't just a party, it was NOVA and Velocity Black giving people a reason to show up and be present together, instead of just watching from a screen. Real competition, real prizes, real people in one backyard for one night.
