Selah Clothing’s Philadelphia Campaign Showcases the Power of Hiring Local Creative Talent

Hiring local creative talent isn’t just a trend — it’s becoming the standard for brands that care about authenticity, efficiency, and culture.

For their latest fashion campaign, Selah Clothing partnered with NOVA, a creative talent platform, to hire key members of a Philadelphia-based production crew. By sourcing locally, Selah ensured the campaign felt grounded in the city it was shot in — both visually and culturally.

Led by Owner and Creative Director Philip Bowles, the project prioritized collaboration with experienced Philadelphia creatives across directing, cinematography, production, and post-production. The result was a streamlined shoot powered by people who understand the local landscape and bring real perspective to the work.

A Fashion Campaign Built With a Local Philadelphia Crew

The campaign was directed and written by Cole Cooper, with cinematography and editing by Maith Hudson. Production was handled by Rick, supported by a full local crew including a gaffer, camera operator, first AC, grip, and audio capture — all sourced through NOVA’s creative network.

Post-production played a major role in elevating the final piece. Color grading, sound design, audio mixing, and motion graphics were all completed by Philadelphia-based creatives, maintaining consistency from shoot to final delivery.

Why Brands Are Choosing Local Production Teams

Brands are increasingly choosing local production crews for fashion campaigns because it reduces costs, improves communication, and strengthens creative outcomes. Hiring locally allows teams to move faster, adapt on the fly, and capture a city’s authentic energy — something that can’t be replicated by flying in an outside crew.

By using NOVA to connect with vetted creative professionals, Selah Clothing was able to build a production team that aligned with both their visual identity and values.

Shot on Location in Philadelphia

The campaign was shot in Philadelphia at Cosmis Deli, a neighborhood location that added texture and realism to the visuals. Featuring local talent and extras, the project reflects a city-first approach to creative production — one that highlights community just as much as clothing.

Local Creative Hiring Through NOVA

This project is a strong example of how brands can use NOVA to hire local creative talent for fashion campaigns, branded content, and commercial productions. From directors and DPs to editors and sound designers, NOVA connects brands with professionals who already understand the environment they’re creating in.

As more brands shift toward community-driven production, campaigns like Selah Clothing’s Philadelphia shoot show why hiring local creatives isn’t just smart — it’s essential.
