About a socially-enforced obstacle to friendship. 12-year-old Candice tries to convince her former camp counselor Jerry to ditch his job at the antique store to shoot hoops with her over break. She can't understand why Jerry would prioritize his lame job over basketball, nor why he would insist that children & adults cannot be friends. Despite Jerry's pleas for her to leave and claims that the two are not real friends, Candice stays, determined to get him to change his mind.
