Nestor, a seminarian obsessed with holiness and tormented by the devil, appears hanged in his bedroom. Esteban, his only friend, tells the story before Nestor’s death during an interrogation; arepressed and sickly love from Nestor towards Esteban becomes known, and a mystery hidden by the seminar is discovered.
